The “Euphoria” Factor: Dressing To Feel Something

I recently read that in this post-Pandemic period (or whatever we're calling it this week!), people are generally having a collective unconscious need to seek out wardrobe pieces that bring them true euphoria. Just like in the HBO Max series "Euphoria" where the characters are wearing tiny crystals on their faces and colorful makeup that tells a story, our wardrobes are hitting a similar mark.

People are looking to outfits right now as a "quick fix"--bright colors, patterns, and dramatic silhouettes, because they want to feel something.  After all, so many people put getting dressed, let alone dressing nicely, on the back burner for over two years.

Do you Resonate With "Dressing To Feel Something" Right Now?

What are you wearing right now to "feel something" or get a "quick fix?" Do you resonate with this as so many people do right now or does this feel completely foreign to you? Are you back in an office or are you still working from home? How does this affect your personal style?

I'd love to hear more in the comment section below and as always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Now that I'm officially commuting to the office twice a week and my WFH life is opening up more and more, I've been sprucing up my wardrobe with bright colors to feel something too. Today, I'm sharing an outfit I wore to work built around the softest, coziest spring sweater in bright orange. The color gives me life, as do the voluminous shoulders.Today, I paired it with my favorite ribcage straight ankle jeans (which I recently reviewed here), 90's inspired sunnies (less than $15 for two pairs but super chic!), nude heels, and a classic bag. I topped off the look with vintage earrings with the prettiest oversized gems. I love how they glimmer against the bright orange sweater.
