How To Level Up Your Eyebrow Game Right Now

Confession: back in the 90’s I had barely-there eyebrows in the shapes of commas. I got them over-waxed when I was in middle school and they never fully recovered. Please tell me I'm not the only one! I look back at photos from my college graduation and they were still horrendous! In my 20’s, I found eyebrow threading and I never looked back. Slowly but surely, I was able to START growing my brows back. That said, they STILL weren't quite what they used to be. It wasn’t until the Global Pandemic when I wasn’t able to get my eyebrows done professionally that I FINALLY let them go completely. I’ll probably come out of quarantine with a full-out unibrow but one silver lining of this crazy time has been how thick my brows have been able to grow. That said, the shape currently needs A LOT of help!Naturally, over the past year or so, I’ve found myself obsessing over at-home brow products. I think I’ve FINALLY found the perfect combo. Sharing my faves above (all clickable below) that you NEED to know about because they work for ALL different brow types and REALLY do the trick.

Brow Products I'm Loving Right Now

The Anastasia Brow Freeze Styling Wax and is MAGIC. First, you line your eyebrows in Anastasia Pomade--filling in any holes you may have naturally. Then, you brush the styling wax through your brows using a clean spoolie. I brush my eyebrows straight up towards the center and then start angling the spoolie out as I work my way to the end of each brow. This product is sold out EVERYWHERE right now but I found that it's available at Macy’s (plus it's currently on sale!). There are a number of other Anastasia brow products I’m obsessed with too--like their clear brow geland their brow powder duo. These were the first two brow products I ever bought from Anastasia and they were my gateway. The clear brow gel looks so natural and it's SO easy to use. I brush it through my brows before all the zoom calls for work and it takes less than a minute from start to finish. It keeps my brows in place all day long.I also LOVE the brand Glossier and their boy browand brow flick products. I've used the boy brow eye brow pomade for a couple of years now and it's so natural. This product comes in a number of different shades to match your eye brow color. It's just as easy to use as Anastasia clear brow gel but it adds a pop of natural color.

Eye Brow Shaping Techniques I'd Like To Try

I've been obsessing over new brow techniques like brow lamination, brow tinting and micro-blading. I have yet to try any of these techniques but I LOVE watching before and afters on social media. These three crazes seem to be sweeping LA right now and I’m in.Brow lamination is something I look forward to trying in the very near future. It's essentially a straight perm for your eyebrows which helps the hair to lie more flat to your face. After the technique, your eyebrow hair points upwards which looks very "Gen Z.” This makes your whole brow appear thicker, which I LOVE.

Brow tinting helps you to achieve the perfect brow color for your skin tone while helping all of your baby hairs to shine through. Brow tinting works well alongside brow lamination and the results from these two techniques together are amazing.Lastly, micro-blading is a more semi-permanent technique. Here, a brow technician etches small strokes in between your eye brow hair using a needle. I've heard micro-blading can be a bit uncomfortable but the end result is natural and so beautiful.
