From the Archives: Vintage Polkadots

This quarantine has given me the opportunity to go through a bunch of outfit posts I prepped but for one reason or another but never posted. I took these photos the week I found out I was pregnant with Sadie.

Soon after, I ended up getting the worst morning sickness that lasted until she was born and these shots got tabled along the way. I can't believe how much has changed in our lives since this shoot. Looking at them makes me even more excited to get back to our lives out in the world. Sharing outfit details below as well as links to some of my favorite vintage-inspired dresses of the moment.

After all, our first date nights post-quarantine are going to be an amazing occasion to dress up and put on some red lips.

About The Outfit

This look is actually a black t-shirt dress styled with a polkadot overlay on top. I cinched both layers together at the waist with a simple black belt.I originally scooped up this overlay from Zara and it's become a wardrobe staple.

I love dressing it up like i did today or down over jeans. I love that it can feel vintage-inspired or contemporary depending on how you style it.

I actually repurposed this looks for my maternity photos (here). It has quite a different fit on me by that point but it really showcases its versatility.

Vintage-Inspired Dresses

I've always been drawn to vintage dresses--especially those with classic cuts that never go out of style.

Sharing a few of my favorites I currently have my eye on for when we're free to leave our houses again!
