The Minimalist Look You Need in Your Closet

Over maternity leave, I went full Marie Kondo. I'll blame it on the fourth trimester--a time when I was on a constant quest to find a sense of normalcy in my sleep deprived, laundry-heavy, baby snuggling days. One day while Sadie was napping, I felt such an urge to organize.

I threw all of my clothes into one big heap on my bed and kept only the items that brought me the most joy. Everything else HAD to go and lets just say, I ended up donating a lot! With two pregnancies so close together, it felt liberating to finally clean out my closet to make room for new looks that actually fit. In the end, the process helped me to identify pieces that were too trendy versus perfectly timeless.

I ended up keeping most of my timeless looks and getting rid of the more trendy ones. Likewise, sharing one of my favorite looks I believe every woman should own in her closet  with you today.

Classic White Blazer FTW

In cleaning out my closet, I realized I kept at least four white blazers. I can't tell you how many times I wear them over and over and in all different ways. Likewise, I believe every woman should have a perfect crisp, white blazer she feels like a boss in in her closet at all times. Sharing a few I'm loving below.

All Black Everything

I love pairing a crisp white blazer with a neutral look. Today, I styled my white blazer with all black everything--the softest turtleneck I scooped up at Madewell (on sale for $25!), black vintage-style jeans, black sunnies and black loafers.

What Are Your Favorite Timeless Pieces In Your Closet?

Are you a white blazer sort of girl or do you have another staple you can't live without in your closet? Have you tried to "tidy up" inspired by Marie Kondo? How did it work for you?

Tell me all the things in the comment section below!
